About Annie
Annie Lascoe Palmer is an associate clinical social worker with a background in gender and feminist studies, offering relational and trauma-informed care to individuals and couples navigating life’s complexities. She approaches therapy through an intersectional lens, honoring the ways that identities, lived experiences, and larger social systems shape how people move through the world.
Annie’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and deeply human. She meets clients where they are, creating space for honest exploration and gentle challenge. Her own experiences as a therapy client across a range of modalities inform the way she holds this work — with deep respect for its vulnerability and its capacity to transform. In her work, she aims to build a relationship rooted in trust, curiosity, and compassion, allowing clients’ authentic selves to emerge more fully.
Individual Therapy
Sometimes there are more sensitive issues that warrant a deeper dive 1:1 with a mental health professional. All Life After Birth® Psychotherapists are trained in perinatal (pregnancy + postpartum) issues, which can help expectant + new parents navigate challenges that include, but are not limited to: birth complications/trauma; health issues with baby including time spent in the NICU; experience with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs); discord with partner and/or other relationships; breastfeeding issues; identity and/or body image issues; grief and loss issues.
Couples Therapy
The change in dynamics in your relationship after the birth of a child or children can benefit from the guidance of a Marriage and Family Therapist who has a specialty in treating the perinatal (pregnancy + postpartum) period. MFTs can help normalize what can happen in a partnership when you become parents, work with you to improve communication, and provide tools and resources to set you up for success as a couple.
